mighty people, how would you describe surf goth?

we think the way we’re getting information these days is crazy. it’s about knowing a little about everything, not a lot about one thing. all we do is get our feet, but eff that! let’s go swimming. we’ve been thinking about how to do that and decided to each month we’re dedicating to study a single topic. it’s investigative journalism kind of. curating our focus. february is beach goth. the devil-may-care lo-fi, surf rock culture of southern california’s dirtiest and grimiest beach bums aka the growlers. think beach boys on unreasonable amounts of acid. think acid on unreasonable amounts of beach boys. beach goth is the eternal summer mindset and that’s what we want this february.
